We’re currently providing COVID-19 vaccinations to our health care workers, and we will begin providing vaccinations to our patients and the general public over the coming weeks. At UMass Memorial Health Care, we understand the fear you’ve experienced in 2020 and the frustrating life changes you’ve had to make. The vaccines are proven safe and effective, but we know you may still have questions. And we know that while you wait to be vaccinated, you or a loved one may need testing for COVID-19 and wonder how to proceed.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

UMass Memorial Health Care is currently preparing its plan for administering the COVID-19 vaccine to our patients in a safe, effective and equitable way. We're following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health recommendations for the roll-out of a phased vaccination program. Don't Delay Care

You may be fearful about going to the doctor or hospital. Please know that while we’re doing amazing work caring for COVID-19 patients, we also have strict safety measures in place for non-COVID-19 patients. Don’t delay care! If you are in pain, have an injury or think something is wrong with your health, call your doctor, go to the Emergency Department or local urgent care.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve changed our visitor policies to minimize foot traffic and potential exposures. Please use the links below for the full visitor policy. Some patients are using iPads or iPhones provided by our caregivers to stay in touch with families and friends.

    Coronavirus General Information

    All visitors and returning residents entering Massachusetts must follow new travel orders. For all details regarding the travel order please visit Sổ kết quả xổ số. COVID-19 testing is available through UMass Memorial affiliated  centers. All CareWell Urgent Care centers offer three types of tests – PCR, Antigen, & Antibody. 

    Symptoms of Coronavirus

    If you’re experiencing any of the below symptoms, call your health care provider: 

    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fever
    • Repeated shaking with chills
    • Muscle pain
    • Headache
    • Sore throat
    • New loss of taste or smell

    COVID Firsts at UMass Memorial

    • First in the state to transition a skilled nursing facility into a COVID-19-only care facility
    • First in the state to build a field hospital
    • First in the state to create a COVID-19-only homeless shelter
    • First in the state to create a COVID-19-only inpatient behavioral health unit
    • First in the state to use convalescent plasma from a recovered COVID-19 patient to treat COVID-19+ patients

    Apple and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention created a screening app. This tool can help you understand what to do next about COVID-19. 

    Our Health eCheck app helps you make decisions on what type of medical care is needed including how to treat symptoms at home when it is safe to do so. It also contains coronavirus symptom information. Download it today.
